There’s more evidence today that web users are an impatient lot. According to a survey by Akamai.com people will ignore websites which take longer than 4 seconds to load. 75% of respondents said that they would not return if a site took longer than 4 seconds.
Even worse, if a website – such as a shop – takes too long to load it’ll directly affect their opinion of the company behind it.
Hmm.. after all the re-coding, tweaking and messing around we’ve now managed to get CoolSmartphone to load in around 4 seconds (I’ve just tested it and it took 5 seconds for the front page… bugger). So perhaps there’s a bit more work to do yet. :)
