Oohh, here’s a good reason why eBay listings should be typed out carefully. If only he’d added that extra “P” he could be sitting on half a million bucks right now. Shame… :)
Here’s the first eBay link for some beer brewed in 1852 – note this missing “P” in “Allsops” – it should be “Allsopps”, which would’ve attracted more bidders. The guy who bought it for a mere $304 ended up relisting it with the correct spelling and bagged $503,300 …. kerching!
