My darling wife pointed me towards the new Spice Girls video a couple of weeks ago. The video is cringe-worthy to the extreme, with each girl trying to out-sex each other and Posh looking like a constipated skeleton.
Seriously, check out the video and see how the girls distance themselves from each other in this boob-fest. Why the hell are they constantly changing positions and clothes? Who directed this? It’s insane and I can’t decide if the girls are either taking it too seriously or just taking the mickey out of the whole thing.
This comeback single (“Headlines”) should’ve been a massive hit. Hours and hours of TV exposure, all cash going to charity and a hugely expensive video. But, in the end, it’s the worst-selling “Children In Need” CD ever.
