When we carry a story, and we’re the only site to do so, certain other sites seem to ignore where they saw it and instead link to the page we found. Take, for example, some random and hard-to-find link tucked away that our readers found. Certain other sites will also “find it” within 30 minutes of us publishing it and then, shockingly, not credit us – not even “via”.
So, it’s interesting to see these same sites crediting other websites when the same thing happens there. This other site carries a story, which is sourced from a random page that they found, yet this time the site I’m on about links to them and gives them credit.
What gives guys?
