OK, this is pretty cool. In 1927 Claude Friese-Greene used a special colour film process to film every day life across Britain. Here, in his last stop, he travels around London. The film is fascinating (at least, I think so) – there’s no comedy “sped-up walking” and the pictures are remarkably clear.
This is 82 years ago – amazing stuff. Give it a view. The shots are fairly short (presumably due to the cost of the film back in 1927) but it’s an amazing window into our past.
