Twitter becomes a powerful customer service tool.

Twitter surprises me at times. Just the other day I mentioned that I’d eaten loads of food and “felt a bit fat”. I then got loads of tweets tring to sell diet pills and crap. Today I posted this tweet which pointed to a BBC News story on the huge British Gas profits. Their profits are pretty shocking because they’ve recently increased their prices…

Surprisingly I got a response from Centrica themselves, even though they don’t follow me. They must be doing some sort of Twitter keyword search..

They pointed me to this page which I didn’t really read properly. It probably says something about how the massive price increases aren’t related to their massive profits. I rather kindly referred them to this page which tells them why I’m not a customer.
