Speeding is bad, but now “most Police forces” have adopted a practice of just giving “speed awareness courses” to people doing less than 10% over the limit plus 9mph. This effecively means that if you’re caught doing 86mph on the motorway you won’t get any points – you have to pay for a course telling you that you should slow down a bit.
While I might agree that 86mph is done by the majority of motorway users, to be able to do up to 42mph in a 30mph zone and only get a “course” isn’t good enough really. If kids are coming out of school and you’re doing 42mph you need more than a course..
