This goes way back to the very early 1980’s. It was call “X Bomber” but here in the UK got known as “Star Fleet” with Brian May (he of Queen) releasing an album dedicated to it.
The opening titles are epic. This was a fantastic programme (I’m going to put my fingers in my ears so that I can’t hear people saying that it was basically a re-hashed “Thunderbirds”) It was made in Japan with British early electronic music (check out those synths)
