Plagiarism?

I’m not one to criticise other sites. In fact, I like to see how the competition is “doing” at times. However, I’m a bit narked at the plagiarism at a certain “other” website. Now, I’ve noticed that a lot of my images are being copied across to this site directly, complete with their blue background-colour to match CoolSmartPhone. This I don’t mind much mainly because I don’t water-mark them and I sometimes (only very rarely though) use screen-shots that other people have taken of devices … with credit.

Let’s take a look at a screenshot of my current front page..

Now let’s take a look at the front page of this other website…

Very similar. However, what makes matters worse is the “copy and paste” news items. Here’s a few examples. I’ve already emailed about this but it seems to be continuing and they’re ignoring my emails..

If you were to look at my inbox you’d see around 5000 emails asking….

“How do I send files over Bluetooth with my Smartphone?”

My answer is always the same. Go to Binarys.com and download SmartExplorer. If you want a file explorer for your Smartphone then this is the daddy. Sure, the new version (2.1.2) doesn’t currently support bluetooth on Windows Mobile 5.0 devices like the C600, but 2.5 will be fully compatible when it arrives.

Get the new spanky version of SmartExplorer here.

You can also get the new version of Task Manager here which improves compatibility with QVGA and Windows Mobile 5.0 plus fixes some bugs.

A question so often asked but users of SP devices is:

“How do I send files over Bluetooth with my Smartphone?”

Well one way of doing it is to pop on over to Binarys.com and check out their aweome SmartExplorer application which has just been updated. Do however note that the latest release v2.1.2 still does not support BT unber WM5 but v2.5 will do, and it wll not be long before this version appears

Whilst your over there take some time to check out another of their apps that has recently been update, Task Manager, this version improves compatibility with QVGA and Windows Mobile 5.0 plus fixes some bugs.

Sure, I know this may not seem like a major thing to you guys. Images, that I don’t mind, but when I sit here and write a news story, research it, edit it and put it online it annoys me that someone just lifts it and changes a few words. It’s lazy reporting.
