Yay. Firefox 3 RC 1 is now available to download. I’ve just installed it and it’s removed version 2 completely. It’s fast. Really, really fast.
Finally, Firefox loads from the desktop in just 2 seconds! That’s way faster than any Firefox I’ve ever seen before! It renders pages like lightening. Seriously, if you ever think that a site is running slow, check out this new version of Firefox, it’ll change your mind!
The guesses it uses when you’re entering URL’s is also brilliant, as is the improved certificate handling (it’ll let me browse to sites with invalid certificates like login pages now), the memory usage is also far better.
This is an utterly fantastic browser. Get it, get it now.
