I’m getting pretty pissed off with the level of panic due to the snow here in the UK.
Here’s a news item that’s on the FRONT PAGE of the BBC News website. It’s a Boeing 737 that has “slid off the runway” at Prestwick airport in Glasgow. The actual truth (further down the story) is that it landed fine and, whilst taxiing to the stand, slid a bit.
Now, tucked away further down the site is the story of another plane. This one broke up and crashed whilst landing, ending up on a beach with an engine missing, broken fuselage and 40 people injured. For some reason this isn’t making any big headlines!
