Those people at webuyanycar.com have just sent me a mailshot. They may have a catchy song and an advert that makes me dance a little but it all falls down after you visit their site. You enter your registration plate, you’ll get a great valuation, then when you turn up at Carcraft (that’s who they actually are), some nobby salesman will knock the valuation down and then promptly stick it on their forecourt for a few grand more than the original valuation.
Anyhow, where was I? Oh yes. The spam email. They’ve sent this picture with the text ..
“From £50 to over £100,000, we really do buy ANY car! We recently purchased two V12 supercars – an Aston Martin DB9 and a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti on the same day. At the opposite end of the scale, a Ford Escort and a Toyota Corolla that escaped the recent scrappage scheme.”
Times must be hard huh? A Ferrari 612 Scaglietti (no, not the meal) being sold off. This recession is hitting hard. Either that or the drug dealer / businessman driving it is off to live in Cancun.. b*****ds..
