Hey Mr BBC, if you want to save money, why not close some of your crappy local radio stations?
OK, perhaps that’s going too far. Why not reduce the power of them at least? Here in the West Midlands I can get BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Stoke, BBC Radio WM, BBC Radio Leicester, BBC Radio Shropshire and BBC Radio Derby – all without interference. Seriously, how did they get to have so much transmitter power ? By contrast some of the local independent radio stations cover about 5 miles of the M6 before they turn into crackle.
Believe me, all the BBC local stations I can receive are crap. Merge them all into one station that actually plays music properly and fire the DJ’s who talk about pottery. Done.
Now, to sort out that Greece debt problem..
