More big companies dodge tax payments

Yet more proof that large companies, banks, celebs and big-earners are dodging tax here in the UK. Today it’s been revealed that eBay have paid just £1.2 million in corporation tax, even though they generated an £800 million turn-over.

Like Starbucks, they’ve avoided paying tax by shifting money around. Starbucks hasn’t paid any tax at all here in the UK during the last three years.

Ikea are at it too, cutting their tax bill in half.

By merely using “royalty payments” to sister companies, most large organisations dodge most if not all of their tax payments.

Sadly, I doubt this Government will ever do anything about it. They’ve been telling us for years that they’ll stop this sort of activity, but it still continues.
