YouTube has decided to set my language…
OK. You think I’m in the USA. No problem, every bloody site in the world seems to think that everyone lives in the USA, but I don’t.
However, when you go into the YouTube settings it gets worse…
Look below. It’s set the language to “English” and country as “UK”. So yes, it knows I’m in the UKĀ but, for some reason, has set the English (as you can see above) to “English (US)”. Now, I’ve checked my system and the browser settings. It’s definitely set to English (UK) everywhere, so I can only assume that YouTube has decided that everyone in the UK has now chosen to speak the American version of English which… we don’t.
So now I have to scroll through the available languages and choose English (UK) manually. That’s a bit rubbish really…
