Random thoughts from today. I spoke to a lovely lady from Georgia. She told me that she’d driven 7 hours to get here (Florida). She was the 24th person that I’ve spoken to over the years who has muttered those immortal words…
“Oh my, I LOVE your accent.”
She told me that she was from the South, which I knew already (being as she mentioned Georgia) and told me “I say, ‘y’all’ a lot”. That made me laugh :)
The truth is, the American people are diverse and us Brits really shouldn’t base America on Disney, because they’re really not like that at all. Get to know America more if you can.
